Our friends at Fanzineist Vienna are looking for volunteers to help organise their online zine and art book festival from 10 July-27 August. Volunteers will assist with social media and event management. Read more here.

Kyber Theatre launches the 8th Edition of the International Theatre, Art and New Technologies Festival (LMDP8) in Cagliari, Italy, and invites artists to submit their projects on the interaction between arts and technologies. The Fondation d’entreprise Hermès supports the creation of new performance works from their production and rehearsal stages through to their public presentation through its New Settings program. Carapelli for Art international award for visual arts, is open to all professional visual artists of various artistic fields and to students of fine arts academies. This year's theme is 'sustainability' and there is no restriction to the medium and size of the submitted works. Deadline is 03 July. Read more and apply here.

The Tyrolean Artists‘ Association invites artists and curators from all artistic disciplines, media and practices to submit projects for its annual program taking place in the Kunstpavillon and the Neue Galerie, Innsbruck. The selected projects should respond to the theme 'Dancing at the Edge of the World' while there are no limits on the artistic, curatorial formats and media used. Deadline is 04 July. Apply here.

WE-Hope and Digital Democracies have announced a call for digital animation artworks created using testimonials collected from survivors of conflict. The commissioned work will be shown in public outdoor space and premier at Frequency Festival 2021 in Lincoln. The work should be able to be presented both physically and digitally and have an interactive relationship with the audience. Deadline is 05 July. Read the application guidelines here.

The 15th Japan International Manga Award is now accepting applications by manga artists all over the world. Eligible manga works should be produced within the past three years and should be more than 16 pages long. Deadline is 08 July. Apply here.

minus20degree, Flachau, Austria, is now accepting proposals from artists in the fields of sound art, video art, performance, theater, installation, or dynamic land art. The works proposed must be water and temperature-resistant as all exposition sites will be outdoor. Individuals, pairs or groups at any stage of their career are welcome to apply. Zhejiang Conservatory of Music accepts applications for the 2021 Hangzhou Contemporary Music Festival "Artinno Award" International Orchestral Composition Competition. Sharjah, UAE - The Africa Institute announces a group of fellowships awarded through its Research Fellowships Program, giving the opportunity for both junior and senior scholars of African and African diaspora studies to focus on a research project and participate in ongoing scholarly and intellectual activities in the institution. Athens Design Forum, a new showcase for collectible design, is now accepting applications for its first edition that will take place between 30 September-07 October. MAKING TRACKS invites young musicians from all backgrounds based in the UK and other European countries, to be part of its music exchange program. The selected artists will have the opportunity to create new collaborative works, perform at leading venues, and receive professional development advice. Deadline is 19 July. nctm e l'arte has issued an open call to acquire works by Italian artists or artists living in Italy. The call concerns projects dealing with themes that are crucial for this time period. Deadline is 30 July. Read more and apply here (info in Italian).

The Finnish National Opera and Ballet and the Digital Culture Festival Assembly are calling teams to propose creative technological concepts which can be immersive, pervasive, multisensory, cross-disciplinary, interactive or game-based. The concept can be based on audio, video, graphics, motion capture or volumetric video and should embrace the spirit of performing arts, music, opera and ballet. Deadline is 31 July. Goethe-Institut created a virtual residency programme to provide funding for international musical collaboration projects. The residency aims to support solo artists and small ensembles from Germany and abroad working on joint research, compositions, concept and project development, pre-productions or innovative online projects. C-PLATFORM invites artists, curators, designers and other creative practitioners to apply for its residency program at the Xi·Art Museum located in Lucitopia Town, Fuzhou City, China. The projects should respond to the current theme 'Fantasy Land'. Deadline is 31 July. Apply and read more here.

To celebrate its 120 years, Majolika Karslruhe is organising the Majolika Award for Contemporary Ceramic Art 2021. The theme of the competition is "the next Majolika icon". Applicants must be from EU countries. Deadline is 15 August. Read more and apply here.

One Minute Space in Athens is accepting proposals for an exhibition of young Greek art that will take place in autumn 2021. The topic of the exhibition is "situatedness" and there will be an artist fee. Read more and apply here.

Zebrastraat, Belgium is launching NTAA, an international competition open to all age groups and to all nationalities. NTAA selects and presents artistic works in which the role of technology occupies a central place. Prizes will be awarded to the winning artists. Deadline is 31 August. Apply and read more here.

Braun announced the 21st Braun Prize International Design Competition which aims to promote the work of young designers and design students with less than 5 years work experience. The competition is open to all nationalities. Deadline is 31 August. Apply here.

The Société du Grand Paris is inviting international professional authors and artists from the fields of comics, illustration, animation, cinema and graphic design to create frescoes on the platforms of the Grand Paris Express train stations. Each selected artist will be entrusted with the illustrations of one of the 30 stations, which should represent the served territory. Deadline is 15 September. Read more and apply here.

The Jan Michalski Foundation offers a series of residencies at the Swiss Jura Mountains in Montricher, for writers of all fields engaged in literary creation, working individually or in pairs. All ages and nationalities are accepted. Deadline is 21 September. Apply here.

Applications are open for the Foundwork Artist Prize, an annual juried award to recognize outstanding practices by contemporary artists. This year, two honorees will receive unrestricted $10,000 grants and studio visits with each of the jurors. The honorees and three shortlisted artists will also be interviewed in the Foundwork Dialogues programme to further public engagement with their work. PULPO GALLERY is now accepting submissions for its 2022 OPEN CALL SOLO SHOW, awarding the winner an all-expenses-paid solo show at PULPO GALLERY in 2022. Entries can be any form of two-dimensional or three-dimensional art. Deadline is 31 October. Application deadlines here.

The Onassis Foundation has launched the Emergency Fellowships 2020/21 programme for artists and curators of all nationalities to provide support through volatile situations around the world, time-sensitive artistic research, or unanticipated professional needs. The fellowship consists of a stipend, as well as support from the Οnassis AiR team. Selection is done on a rolling basis throughout the year. Read more and apply here.
