Bodies in Motion at Alkinois Project Space

31.10.2021

With this group exhibition, young curator Odette Kouzou sets the question of how we can heal our bodies from the absence of our embodied experience. With this as its starting point, the exhibition Bodies in Motion observes and highlights issues of sexuality and bodily movement, through a choreographic approach to curation. Sculpture, painting and digital works become part of a choreographic curation strategy, with the intention to generate affects that, according to the exhibition's press release, fill the space with an erotic mood and titillates the senses. Eight Greek artists seek to capture this sensory affect that is produced by the representation of bodies, whether they are human, animal or inanimate.
